The Emmanuel College Counseling Center is seeking a part-time (10 -12hours per week) Consulting Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care including evaluations, follow up, and medication management for the center's undergraduate clients. Reporting to the Director of Counseling, the Consulting Psychiatrist will provide assessments, medication management, crisis intervention when necessary, and collaborate with primary therapists both individually and as part of a weekly case conference meeting.


Candidates must be board certified or board-eligible and be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts and must have a valid DEA registration number. Experience with adolescents and/or college students is required and board certification in child/adolescent is desired. Candidates should also possess knowledge of developmental needs and mental health concerns of college students, including eating disorders, alcohol/substance abuse, depression/anxiety and trauma. Experience with a diverse population is desired.
